About
Giuliano Balos
My artworks are mainly, but not exclusively, semi-abstract landscapes that contain movement.
I believe that the world is in an ever-changing state of flux.
Hopefully, my images are more than a snap shot, but rather a visual journey that is revealed to the viewer gradually.
The mediums mainly used include pen and ink, acrylics, oil and pastels.
I was born in Italy and brought up out side in New York City. My Art training was in upstate NY which is remarkably lush and forested. The exposure to the art in many of the cities museums and art galleries gave me extensive first hand appreciation of famous art works. I am now retired, but extremely busy. In the past 40 years I have mainly been teaching Visual Arts.
For a period of time, I was a practicing jeweller in Tasmania making hand made item for galleries and commissions. In recent years, my artist subjects continue to be landscapes with occasional figurative compositions. The majority of my works are purchased privately and by commission.
Currently living with my wonderful wife in Killcare on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Living in this lovely environment has inspired me to create new works.
